Kunsangar

Kunsangar is one of the Dzogchen Community centers, unifying practitioners from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Latvia and other countries of Eastern Europe and Asia. 

"Kunsangar" in tibetan means "Place of The All Good" or "Place of Samantabhadra" .

Originally Kusangar appeared in 1998 in Moscow suburbs. Due to different reasons, since 2006 this place has ceased to be the place of Dzogchen Community. Chögyal Namkhai Norbu told that a new place should be found (not only one!) and after several years of search and attempts, in December 2009 the land was bought in Crimea, near Goncharnoe village, Balaklavsky district.

The first retreat with Chögyal Namkhai Norbu was held in June, 2010. We hope that this place will be the South Kunsangar. Nevertheless, we do not stop searching for other places for community. We will also try to buy that place in Crimea, which we were trying to acquire since 2007 and also will try to find the place for Kunsangar North in the Moscow region. Probably in future there will be more places for Gars in those parts of Russia, where Chögyal Namkhai Norbu has already given teachings.

As of now, the Gar is being built in Goncharnoe village.
